This course will teach students how to read, analyze and interpret works of classic English literature. We strive to foster an invaluable intuition for critical thinking and reflect their literary discoveries in well-written arguments around topics such as themes, narrative intent, or character analysis. Each course will be centered around a famous work of literature, which our professors will break down into engaging and rewarding lessons.

ER101 is built around a diverse selection of the very best books available for students at each grade level. For each book we have crafted a rich set of resources that enable teachers to guide students in a truly meaningful and enriching experience of the book. The Teacher Guide provides extensive support for leading students in thoughtful discussions of theme, character, plot, and setting. The Student Materials give students the opportunity to expand upon the classroom experience in exciting and educational ways.
